Maddie's Baptism

We finally got Maddie baptized last month... one step closer to sainthood like her father.

Lobster Night

Every year, my mom and dad feel the need to have a lobster night at the Motz estate.  10 crying lobsters and 10 lbs of butter... ah, the life.

This year, we called up our fisherman friend from Nova Scotia (Canada, for all of you geography geniuses), and he took care of the rest. 

Actually, all of the lobsters were ordered locally, but the lobsters did come from Canada, there were tags on the lobsters to track their catch date and location (neato).

Madison wore her lobster hat and PJ's for the big day.

   

Madison loved the lobster's WWJD bracelets.

Lilly's Baptism

My brother and his wife baptized their beautiful baby girl Lilly about 2 weeks ago.  It was nice, simple and an over all happy moment... just the way God would have wanted it. 

Madison still hasn't been baptized... we are slacking big time.  When is the pope headed to Oahu?

Learning To Read

Daddy was never the reader. Mommy loves to read.  Maddie loves to be read to.

Here's is Maddie and her cousin Anayah.  They like to hang out the park and look for boys.

Grandma's On Vacation...

Maddie's full-time baby sitter is on vacation and that leaves papa bear to take on the duties.  I will say this... taking care of Maddie is harder than my current job. I'm serious.

I need to keep her busy or she takes joy in terrorizing me.  True Story.

On Thursday, we went to the beach. I wore my speedos and Maddie didn't want to be anywhere near me.  She just floated around like a little princess in the shade.

On Friday, we did the Makapu'u light house hike.  It's a short hike that's totally paved.  Just me, Maddie, the jogging stroller and the blistering sun.

Thanks Maddie for taking it easy on me.
